My Creative Workflow
1. Concept & Prototyping
I define the core gameplay loop and quickly build prototypes to test mechanics. Early iteration ensures the game is fun, responsive, and technically feasible before full production begins.
2. Systems & Gameplay Development
I design and implement core systems such as player controllers, enemy behavior, physics interactions, and game state management. My focus is clean architecture and scalable code.
3. Optimization & Polish
I optimize performance, memory usage, and frame rate stability. From collision systems to rendering efficiency, I ensure smooth gameplay across target platforms.
4. Testing & Deployment
I debug edge cases, refine mechanics through playtesting, and prepare stable builds for release. Post-launch, I monitor performance and deliver updates when needed.
From Player to Developer
Hi, I’m Julia — a game programmer with a strong passion for interactive systems and gameplay development.
Currently, I work part-time at Axis while also taking courses to continuing to develop my programming skills and expand my technical expertise.
Outside of work, I’m an active gamer on both PC and Nintendo Switch. I’m also passionate about anime, Dungeons & Dragons, cosplay, Jujitsu, and spending time outdoors. These interests fuel my creativity and strengthen my collaborative and strategic mindset — qualities I bring into my development work.
